Biblestudies-online is a independent, non-denominational Bible Study website created and maintained by David M. Turner. It has been designed with the objective to focus on understanding the Bible within it's original context and apply Biblical principles to modern living. I have, and will continue to develop studies for all levels of Biblical knowledge. Beginning students will be rewarded with studies in the Basics, especially the Learning to Live Series. More advanced students will gain insight in Bible/Passages and Topical. Other Studies contains articles, studies, and information in regards to ministry or areas not included in the other categories. I have also included a Discussion site, where students can ask questions or respond to the studies and articles. Discussions will require participants to register.

We advise students to be as the Bereans of Acts 17:11, who "were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures to see if what Paul said was true" (NIV).

Most of the studies have been been developed using either the New American Standard (NAS), New International (NIV), or the Net Bible (NET) translations of the Bible. All the Learning to Live Series and most future studies will use the Net Bible. In the advanced studies I used the United Bible Societies (UBS) Greek New Testament and Biblia Hebraica (Stuttgartensia) Hebrew Old Testament. I have used NET Bible resources to form the link for Bible Search and Bible text links. Students shouldn't limit themselves to one translation, but should read the intent of each translation in it's introduction and compare translations on the passages being studied. The use of Bible reference tools such as Strong's Concordance, a good Bible Dictionary or Encyclopedia, and a Bible Atlas are advised. E-swords.net offers Bible software with a large number of translations and tools that can be downloaded for free (or a donation).

Discussion Blog: I encourage you to ask questions or give your response to any of these studies at our interactive Discussion Blog.

Future Projects:

Godsword-online.org  (under construction) defends the word of God and Christianity, presents articles on proper Biblical hermeneutics and suggests links to other online links that do the same.

Gloryb2God.com (under construction) provides practical meditations, devotionals and personal testimonies, and illustrations to give daily guidance in the Christian walk. This site will be will offer Christians from all walks of life to share personal testimonies and write devotionals.
