Biblestudies-online provides studies focusing on understanding the Bible within it's original context. Beginning students will be rewarded with studies in the Basics, especially the Learning to Live Series. More advanced students will gain insight in Bible/Passages and Topical. Other contains articles, studies, and information in regards to ministry or areas not included in the other categories. We have also included a Discussion site where you can ask questions or respond to the studies and articles. Discussions will require participants to register.
If your links have problems reading the languages (Greek and Hebrew) in .html it is advised to download the .pdf file with the link button on each study or article. These .pdf files can also be kept for reference in your own files or used for teaching and discipleship. Many of these studies have copyrights and should not be reproduced for profit.
We advise students to be as the Bereans of Acts 17:11, who "were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures to see if what Paul said was true" (NIV).
Most of the studies have been been developed using the New American Standard (NAS), English Standard Version (ESV), New International (NIV), or the Net Bible (NET) translations of the Bible. In the advanced studies we used the United Bible Societies (UBS) Greek New Testament and Biblia Hebraica (Stuttgartensia) Hebrew Old Testament. We have used NET Bible resources to form the link for Bible Search and Bible text links. Students shouldn't limit themselves to one translation, but should read the intent of each translation in it's introduction and compare translations on the passages being studied. The use of Bible reference tools such as Strong's Concordance, a good Bible Dictionary or Encyclopedia, and a Bible Atlas are advised. E-swords.net offers Bible software with a large number of translations and tools that can be downloaded for free (or a donation).
